On September 7th we gathered our CLS community at the distinctive ship Götheborg of Sweden to celebrate the 40th year anniversary of the Swedish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce.
Ambassador of Sweden to Portugal, Elisabeth Eklund alongside the Chairwoman of CLS, Jennifer Ekström welcomed our guests onboard the magnificent ship. After some exploring around the ship, we gathered on the upper deck where the captain greeted us and informed about the ongoing Asia Expedition.
In the beautiful sunset we had the opportunity to introduce the new Ambassador of Sweden to Portugal, Elisabeth Eklund, who, together with the Portuguese Secretary of State for Internationalisation, Bernardo Ivo Cruz, shared insights of the Swedish-Portuguese longstanding trade history as well as common grounds and climate change related issues that our two countries face. The Chairwoman of CLS, Jennifer Ekström, gave us some important milestones of CLS history, highlighted the persistent and fruit-bearing work of our diverse Board of Directors and our Secretary General, as well as a prosperous wishes for the future of CLS.
