CLS GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING 2022

On March 23rd, between 10.00-12.30, CLS held its annual General Assembly Meeting. This year we were able hold our General Assembly Meeting in a hybrid format, online and at the Embassy of Sweden in Lisbon.

The President of the General Assembly and former Ambassador, Bengt Lundborg, opened the General Assembly Meeting and greeted all participants welcome and further on behalf the whole CLS Board, thanked Helena for her brilliant work during her five years at the Embassy. This was followed by a short presentation from the Ambassador of Sweden to Portugal, Helena Pilsas, about the cooperation between the Embassy and the CLS and the added value of the cooperation on the Sustainability Initative. Helena continued thanking CLS for an excellent cooperation and hopes for a future continuation of this valuable collaboration for Swedish Portuguese Trade and Commerce.

The General Assembly Meeting then continued with a presentation made by the Chairwoman & President of the CLS Board of Directors, Jennifer Ekström who shared the CLS Annual Report for 2021. A year which focused on strengthening the collaboration with corporate members. This is something that CLS accomplished successfully and especially alongside the Sustainability Initiative, which will continue during 2022. 

Carlos Oliveira, Tresurer of the CLS, gave a statement of the financial situation which showed that the Chamber continuously holds a positive cash flow which show promises for further development for the organization.

After the presentations, the voting’s commenced where the following items were approved:

  • Annual Report
    • Activity Report 2021
    • Finance Report 2021
  • Activity Plan 2022
  • Budget 2022
  • Other Issues

President of the General Assembly, Ambassador Bengt Lundborg thereafter closed the General Assembly Meeting 2022.
