May 9th, the sun was shining brightly over Cascais as over 40 players gathered for the CLS Padel tournament, an event full of sportmanship, friendly competiton, contagious energy and new connections.
From the early morning, the courts at Zone Pro Padel buzzed with anticipation as players arrived, warmed up, and mingled with colleagues, sponsors, and new acquaintances. The tournament kicked off at 09:30, and what followed were dynamic rallies, defined by high intensity and team spirit.
Before the start of the tournament, the teams had been paired up based on their padel proficiency. The group stage commenced with mixed teams to create dynamic matches. Each team played three matches that led them to either A-, B-, or C-playoffs. Characterized by intensity and even games, the playoffs brought out the best sides of each team.
While some teams came in with solid experience playing together, others met for the first time right before stepping on the court. Each sponsor was present on the day, represented by teams of varying sizes, sharing merchandise, engaging with attendees, and contributing fantastic energy throughout the event. These health-focused initiatives are deeply appreciated, not only by the CLS but also by fellow players and the sponsors' own team members who took part in the event.
At 13:00, the players gathered for a celebratory lunch and prize ceremony. Thanks to the generous contributions from the sponsors, winners and runners-up in various categories were awarded glamorous prizes, and every participant enjoyed the well-stocked CLS goodie goodiebag.
