After one year, it is time to say goodbye to CLS Trainee Sepehr Khanmohammadi. 2024/2025 was an eventful period, milestones were reached and CLS have grown meanwhile. The efforts of the CLS management team have been incremental for this period. Read some of Sepehr's reflections from the past year.
From my arrival, I withheld judgment, allowing the city and the work to speak for themselves. It started with the Golf Tournament in Beloura, which already combined one of my big interests, sports, into my work. I experienced that blend again when organizing the Padel Tournament in April. Two events I enjoyed incredibly for their energized yet relaxed nature, and I think it captured the spirit of my time at CLS. The combination of administrative, social and creative tasks perfectly mirrored the balance I’ve found between challenge and joy during my time at CLS
A significant focus for me last fall was the Swedish booth at the Web Summit. I was unfamiliar with the conference, so its importance and attention took me by surprise. After realizing the significance of the representation, my initial surprise transformed into amazement and motivation. The whole project of Web Summit, especially the three bursting days filled with interesting people and conversations, along with the amazing networking event, is one of my fondest memories from Lisbon.
There are many great activities and events to highlight. Yet my favorite part has been meeting, listening to, and engaging with the many people I’ve encountered — interesting and kind individuals from diverse sectors, all passionate about their endeavors and always willing to share their knowledge with someone eager to learn.
Lisbon, with all its colorful places and warmth, its happy and chatty people, and the nature surrounding it, will always be close to my heart. And for all that Lisbon and CLS have given me, to say I’m grateful would be an understatement. I’ve looked forward to every day here, and while poignant to know it’s over, moving forward with all that I’ve learned is exciting.
The biggest thanks to Secretary General Charlotta Mohlén, for allowing me to learn so much, rewarding me with responsibility and for all the great days. To the CLS Board of Directors, thank you for the opportunity, inspiration and insights.
Obrigado a todos.
With gratitude for an unforgettable year,
Sepehr Khanmohammadi
