The very appreciated HR Peers meeting is back in 2025, spurring more discussions in the important field of human resources between professionals from the Swedish-Portuguese business community.
After the success of the HR peer meeting groups in 2024, CLS is determined to keep building on that appreciation and momentum. The group met on May 30th to discuss the soon-to-be-implemented and ever-important EU Pay Transparency Directive.
Representatives from Diaverum, Ericsson, Essity, and Securitas gathered to listen to an appreciative presentation from Guilherme Dray of Macedo Vitorino. Discussions arose regarding how this directive will affect businesses in Portugal and what they can do to adhere to it. From 2026 onwards, the directive will be in action in Portugal. Assuredly changing the functions of salary transparency and pay equity. To stay compliant, firms must see how the Portuguese government will implement the directive. However, there are ways for firms to stay ready, as shown by Macedo Vitorino.
The group expressed how appreciated this forum is to spur dialogues and collaborations across organizations and sectors. Each meeting strengthens the group and provides the participants with new initiatives to consider for the organization they represent.
CLS is aiming for one more meeting with the HR group during 2025, with specific topics being the main theme of each gathering.
