Pihr - joins cls!

30 November 2024

The CLS is excited to introduce Pihr, a pioneering company dedicated to addressing pay equity and transparency in the workplace. With a mission to ensure fair compensation practices across industries, Pihr combines innovative technology with expert advisory services. We caught up with a representative from Pihr to delve deeper into their impactful solutions and the challenges they aim to overcome in promoting equitable workplaces.

Pihr was founded in 2012 in Stockholm by Magnus Drogell, with a clear mission to address pay inequity in the modern workforce. Pihr is dedicated to tackling the critical issue of pay inequity in the workplace. With their cloud-based software, and expert advisory services, Pihr aims to ensure that all employees receive fair compensation that reflects their experience and expertise. They emphasize the importance of establishing transparent salary structures, where any differences in pay are based on objective criteria. This approach not only helps prevent discrimination but also fosters a culture of fairness and accountability within organizations.

A current focus area for Pihr is the new EU Directive on Pay Transparency. Companies will be required to disclose salary ranges in job adverts, as well as provide salary explanations for individual employees. This will promote openness about compensation practices, allowing employees to understand the rationale behind their pay. Companies will also have to publish reports on their internal pay gaps. With tools from Pihr, this process is made easy for employers.

What makes Pihr unique is its combination of technological innovation and regulatory expertise. Operating in over 50 countries, Pihr’s software adapts to local regulations, while ensuring global compliance. This efficiency can save organizations up to 90% of the time typically spent on pay equity analysis, providing actionable insights for strategic decision-making.

Pay equity challenges affect all sectors, particularly in Portugal, where factors like unequal caregiving responsibilities and underrepresentation of women in higher-paying roles, contribute to disparities. Pihr’s tools are essential for companies navigating the complexities of the new Pay Transparency Directive.

Pihr often collaborates with local partners, and have a partnership with Portuguese law firm, Macedo Vitorino. Together, Pihr and Macedo Vitorino offer a comprehensive solution to help companies in Portugal meet their compliance requirements and build a fairer workplace.

Looking ahead, Pihr continuously updates its software to align with evolving regulations. The goal is to empower companies to understand their obligations and utilize Pihr’s platform as a strategic resource for achieving pay equity.

As Pihr continues to grow, its commitment to addressing pay equity and transparency remains strong. By fostering collaborations and leveraging technology, Pihr is assured to make a significant impact in promoting pay equity and transparency practices across various industries.
