On November 12th, the Swedish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce together with the Swedish Embassy in Lisbon and the Norwegian Embassy in Lisbon hosted an unforgettable networking evening.
With a great view over the Tagus river, we gathered around 120 participants—entrepreneurs, investors, and tech enthusiasts—all connected through a shared interest in strengthening ties between the Swedish, Norwegian, and Portuguese business communities across a variety of sectors.
The evening commenced with a warm welcome from Jennifer Ekström, President of the Swedish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce (CLS), who highlighted the growing potential for collaboration within our trilateral network. She was followed by Marcus Nordquist, CLS Board Member who shared insights from Web Summit and reflected on new opportunities emerging in the digital and innovation landscape.
The Swedish Ambassador to Portugal, H.E. Elisabeth Eklund, and the Norwegian Ambassador to Portugal, H.E. Hanne Brusletto, each addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of building strong international partnerships to support innovation, trade, and sustainable economic development.
The program culminated with our Special Guest Speaker, João Borga, Executive Director at Tecnico Venture Lab In an inspiring keynote, he explored how Portugal’s rapidly evolving startup ecosystem continues to scale, attract global talent, and foster cross-border cooperation, making it an exciting hub for engagement between Norway and Sweden.
Throughout the evening, guests exchanged ideas, discovered new synergies, and strengthened both personal and professional connections. The atmosphere reflected a shared desire to collaborate under a common vision: to promote meaningful exchanges and drive economic growth across borders.
