A new season is here and with that the CLS also welcomes new colleagues to the team. After a well accomplished internship during the spring, we are happy to announce that Vendela Eriksson continues her great work with us as our new one-year trainee. Another addition to the CLS team this fall is our intern Nora Widén who is eager to contribute to the work and events ahead of us.
Dear members of the Swedish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce,
My name is Vendela Eriksson and many of you have already met me during my time as an intern at CLS this spring. Either at one of our Swedish Entrepreneur Networks, during this years MBA visit, at the CLS padel tournament, or in a webinar. With an eventful spring behind us, I am now looking forward to this upcoming year where I will be stepping into my new role as the one year trainee.
I recently finished my bachelor in Development Studies with a major within Economic History at Lund University and during my academic years I have had the time to go on exchange to Brazil, Belo Horizonte, and Hungary, Budapest.
I am eager to see what this year has to offer but most importantly I am excited to contribute with great energy, creative ideas, and additional value to the CLS. I am hoping to meet familiar faces again as well as new people and members whom I have not yet met.
You can read more about me in my article from this past spring when I did my internship at CLS.
My deepest gratitude to the Scholarship Fund for Swedish Youth Abroad, who made this year possible for me.
Together with the great team of Secretary General Charlotta Mohlén and our intern Nora Widén I am now looking forward to an eventful year with big enthusiasm.
I would now like to introduce our newest colleague, Nora Widén.
My name is Nora Widén and it is with great joy I announce that I will join the team at CLS this upcoming fall as an intern. First off, I would like to give you an idea of who I am and what my previous experiences are.
Growing up in a quite and small town called Kungsör in Västmanland, I was always fascinated by larger cities, different cultures and people. An early interest for politics led me to Uppsala University where I have spent the last few years studying a bachelor in Political Science. During my time in Uppsala I was engaged in an association that hosted lectures with prominent speakers within foreign affairs. My work consisted of booking relevant speakers, organising events and marketing. The variation of topics regarding international relations and affairs furthered enhanced my interests and made me even more curious about the intersection between business and politics.
The beginning of this year I had the opportunity of doing an exchange semester in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil which made me discover and start learning Brazilian Portuguese. I had an interesting time studying international relations with a focus on Brazil as well as travelling the country. I am eager to learn more about how the trade and business relations between Portugal and Sweden are promoted through the Chamber, as well as contributing in the best ways I can, supporting the work and events that are ahead of us.
I also hope to keep practising Portuguese and learn how it is spoken here. I will appreciate if anyone of you wants to practice with me when there is a moment for that! I am curious to get to know the Portuguese culture and the city I for now will call home. I look forward to meeting you at our approaching events this fall!
Até Breve!
