Founded in Portugal in 1992 as AeroEquipo, Orion Technik Maintenance & Engineering has grown over three decades into a global aerospace MRO provider and certified parts distributor, serving both civil and military aviation operators worldwide.
From its headquarters just 9 km from Lisbon International Airport, the company coordinates the delivery of spare parts, consumables, tooling, and support equipment with fast turnaround and a strong focus on operational excellence.
Francisco Pimenta, the founder of Orion Technik, emphasizes that the company was born from a vision to combine engineering know-how with customer-driven service, ensuring reliability and efficiency in one of the world’s most demanding industries. Today, under the leadership of Francisco Oom Peres, that vision has expanded across continents, positioning Orion Technik as a reliable partner for airlines, OEMs, and defense agencies in Europe and beyond.
Orion holds EASA and EMAR Part-145 approvals, operating as a certified repair station and offering end-to-end Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services. Its mission remains clear: to increase fleet serviceability and reduce downtime through certified repairs, efficient processes, and proactive customer support.
This approach has consolidated Orion Technik’s reputation for quality, reliability, and innovation.
In response to growing global demand, Orion Technik has expanded strategically into new regions. Its office in the United Arab Emirates supports clients across the Middle East and SouthEast Asia, while the newly established Orion Technik Maintenance & Engineering – North America, LLC, based in Florida, reinforces its ability to serve customers across North and South America with local expertise and inventory.
