Remote working in the Algarve: because you’ll get more done in an inspiring environment

24 March 2023

Remote working is on the rise. Most work can be done from home, or even better: from the Algarve. Because an inspiring environment does make a difference. The change of scenery stimulates creativity, increases productivity, and provides a more satisfying work-life balance. Your employees will literally get a new perspective, which leads to better focus.

When it comes to working remote, Portugal tops the lists. In 2022, it was ranked the world’s best country for remote working, due to its low cost of living, good internet connectivity, variety of leisure activities and widely spoken English. Lisbon and Porto are popular workation destinations; however, if you want gorgeous nature and a stunning coastline with over 300 days of sun and a year-round pleasant temperature, the Algarve is the place to be.

“After lunch, I take a walk on the beach to clear my head before I start working again.” - Kinga Lundblad of Mancini Properties Management

Mancini Properties offers 14 work-friendly Algarve-based accommodations that can be rented all year round, with prices being especially attractive outside the high season. Kinga Lundblad, Mancini’s general manager, has been living and working in Portugal since 2012: “I’ve personally experienced how an inspiring environment makes all the difference! Our guests can choose to stay and work in the apartment, or go out to a café, restaurant, co-working space, or even the beach. Myself, I love to go to Julia’s at Praia do Garrão, have a coffee and open my laptop. After lunch, I take a walk on the beach to clear my head before I start working again.”

Located in Quarteira, Loulé and Vilamoura, an area of the Algarve also known as the Golden Triangle, Mancini’s apartments are close to Faro airport, and some are right next to the beach. Seaside yoga, seafood restaurants, and countryside hikes can literally be found on your doorstep. Digital Marketing Manager Rebecca Cannerfelt, currently on a two-week workation in one of Mancini’s apartments in Vilamoura, loves this central location. “I start my day with coffee, fruit, and juice on the balcony. Then I have my online meetings - the WIFI is amazing – and for lunch I walk to the Marina. After a rainy and snowy winter in Stockholm (Sweden) I lost all my energy, so I needed to go somewhere to recharge my batteries. I’ve only been here a few days and I already feel recharged! It seems like time is moving slower; I have more space to think and be creative.”

Service experts with local knowledge, Mancini is available for their clients 24/7 and can arrange all kinds of experiences, ranging from golf to surfing and from Jeep safaris to spa days. Want to switch off quickly? Try having a massage in the convenience of your apartment. All apartments come with a reliable high-speed fibre internet connection and have a dedicated space to work. For those who require even more of an office space, Mancini has teamed up with the Hilton hotel in Vilamoura which offers a business floor with a conference hall and several home offices packages.
