We are proud of the quality and strong momentum that have defined this year’s activities. Our dedication to strengthen the ties between Sweden and Portugal is highlighted in the essence our vibrant community, driven by collaboration, innovation, and a shared ambition to drive progress.
Highlights of 2025
The year kicked off with two insightful CLS webinars, whereas CLS members Pihr and Macedo Vitorino informed about the EU Pay Transparency Directive while Invest in Skåne gathered interesting actors to inform about the many work opportunities for Portuguese STEM professionals in the South of Sweden.
The CLS organised several Breakfast Seminars in collaboration with the Swedish Embassy in Lisbon, covering a variety of topics. Together with Team Sweden in Portugal, we welcomed an Executive MBA group from Stockholm University for a week of practical international business insights, which concluded in a networking event focused on Portugal’s strategic role in the EU’s competitive startegy.
The Swedish Tech & Enterprise Pavilion at Web Summit was organised by the CLS team. At one of the world’s largest tech conferences, Swedish companies were represented in the pavilion, allowing visitors from around the globe to explore and connect Swedish innovation. In connection with Web Summit, Sweden & Norway Connects at Web Summit took place at the beautiful Hotel Verride, located by Miradouro de Santa Catarina. The event brought together investors, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders from Sweden, Portugal, and Norway, creating a vibrant and engaging networking atmosphere.
Throughout 2025, CLS organised four meetups together with our Swedish Entrepreneur Network. With a strong diversity across the events, participants gathered to learn about the startup ecosystem and how to start a company in Portugal. Entrepreneurs were also given the opportunity to pitch their ideas and companies to the community.
CLS and the Swedish Embassy also hosted an exclusive pre-launch of the Swedish Investments in Portugal catalogue, highlighting the impact of Swedish investments on innovation, technology, job creation, and the strong collaboration between Sweden and Portugal.
The CLS HR Peer Meeting continued throughout the year, bringing together HR representatives from Swedish companies to discuss important and relevant topics within the HR field together with external experts. And in the spirit of team-building, collaboration, and health promotion, two CLS sport tournaments were sucesfully executed - the CLS Business Golf Tournament and the CLS Business Padel Tournament.
We welcomed several new members
Corporates: Fohlin Law, Leaderansa, Orion Technik, Aicep Global Parques, Alfa Laval, Polestar, Corpower Ocean, and Ignease.
The traditional Swedish Christmas Lunch commenced the fruitful year with our network, members, and new professional aquintances in a beautiful Portuguese setting.
As we enter 2026, our dedication to strengthening businesses, encouraging innovation, and nurturing meaningful ties between Sweden and Portugal remains unwavering. We will continue to expand opportunities for human connection, enable strong and lasting collaborations, to furhter spur the development of our dynamic and engaged community.
